How do you dye wool with onion skins?
Method
- Add onion skins to the cooking pot and cover with enough cool water for your fabric to move around freely (this will be added later)
- Place the pot on a low-medium heat with the lid on (try to avoid boiling)
- Leave on the heat and check regularly; the dye will intensify over time and should darken with oxidisation.
