“Vikings” has some similarities but as a piece of screen writing, goes fairly pale by comparison. While “Vikings” production values are top-notch, the acting performances are often rather two-dimensional and shallow. Characters are for the most part simplistically motivated and predictable compared to my favorite pirates.
