How long does it take to install a Cobb Accessport?
This process can take 5-30 minutes depending on the vehicle. We highly recommend using a battery charger for the Install and Uninstall process. If stock data is not saved or is lost, stock data supplied with the Accessport will be used during the Uninstall process.
How do I connect my Accessport?
Connecting to the Accessport To update your Accessport with new maps and update firmware, use the supplied USB cable to connect the Accessport to your computer. The larger end of the USB cable goes to the computer and the smaller end of the USB cable goes to the Accessport.
How accurate is Cobb estimated horsepower?
COBB estimates were 4.5% lower HP and 4% lower Torque from the V-Dyno results. Take these results with a grain of salt…it’s only 2 data sets for something that has lots of variables. Basically, from your experience, we can probably conclude that Cobb’s reading is under estimating WHP and WTQ.
What is fine knock WRX?
Fine Knock Learning is learned (and thus applied) for specific ranges defined by load and RPM; once a correction value has been learned into a particular range, it will be applied whenever the engine is operated within that range.

On 2002 – 2005 WRX models (AP3-SUB-001 Accessport), identify the correct Initialization Connector for your vehicle (2002 WRX = BLUE, 2003 – 2005 WRX = WHITE). Attach the Initialization Connector to the corresponding connector under the driver’s side dash.

NOTE: The Accessport is only capable of communicating with the ECU while the ignition is turned to the “ON” position. The Accessport will display an error message if it cannot communicate with the vehicle. Use this function to read trouble codes from the engine computer. Stored codes indicate a mechanical or electrical fault.
