PCoIP (PC over IP) provides an optimized desktop experience for the delivery of a published application or an entire remote desktop environment, including applications, images, audio, and video content for a wide range of users on the LAN or across the WAN.
What is difference between PCoIP and VMware blast?
PCoIP uses the UDP protocol which is suited for media streaming. To use PCoIP, you need to use a client such as the horizon View client from VMware. VMware Blast Extreme can also use the same client yet uses the H. 264 protocol for encoding video, and shares similar advantages of PCoIP.
How do I keep VMware Horizon client active?
Tap the Settings (gear) icon in the Horizon Client Tools radial menu. Tap Keep Screen Alive. Tap to toggle the Keep Screen Alive option to on. Tap Done to close the Settings window.

How do I stop VMware from locking?
Procedure
- Connect to a remote desktop or application.
- Tap the Option button in the desktop or application window and tap Settings.
- Expand the Advanced section and tap to toggle the Screen always on option to On. If the option is set to Off, screen lock may occur.
How do I minimize VMware horizon?
To hide the VMware Horizon Client window after you open a remote desktop or published application, click the Close button in the corner of the VMware Horizon Client window.
How do I install PCoIP client?
Installing the Software Client
- Double-click the Software Client for Windows installer executable (pcoip-client.exe) to begin installation.
