What kind of glue is used in SIPs?
You have it right. Use a poly-urethane glue and make sure it says solvent free. Panel manufacturers use moisture curing/air curing poly-urethane adhesives to bond the skins (metal or wood) of their panels to their foam cores (PU or EPS). The glue is viscus, translucent-brown and looks like maple syrup.
How do you use SIPs panels?
Install SIPs right and seal tight Also, make sure to set the panels in place in order—start in the corners or valleys and work outward. Once installed, all panel joints and voids must be properly sealed using adhesive or SIP tape to minimize air leakage and maintain the structure’s long-term durability.
Is it cheaper to build in block or timber?
In terms of materials used, the cost of timber is lower, but not by much. Also, whether timber or brick are used the rest of the build costs will be the same. Foundations, plumbing, sewers, access roads and the like will cost just as much regardless of the frame.

What are sips panel kits?
We are European SIPs panel manufacturer producing SIPs panel KITs for Garden rooms, residential/summer houses and other buildings. Our SIPs panel KITs includes all the parts for external walls and roof structure. You can add other parts like windows, doors, external and internal finishing materials as optional.
Can I use my own contractor to install sips?
If you would prefer to use your own contractor, or are planning on completing the SIPS installation yourself, SIPCO can supply a ready to assemble ‘SIP-kit’, including all floor joists, support members and ancillary items.
Do I need a SIPCO engineer to install a panel kit?
This option would still benefit from full technical support during the installation, and a SIPCO engineer would be available for site visits and supervision if necessary. In order to proceed on a supply only ‘SIP-kit’ basis, SIPCO must verify the competence of your contractor to install the panel kit correctly.
