  2. Remove any removable elements such as hardware, drawers and shelves.
  3. Remove any stickers, labels or residue that is stuck on top of the furniture.

When using chalk paint, the time you aren’t spending on sanding and priming will be spent on waxing your piece. Also, a thin coat of wax takes a full month to cure before a piece is protected enough to use or sell. My favorite clear coat will be dry in a couple of hours or a little longer if you are working in high humidity.

    Using a Chalk Paint® Brush, paint your chosen Chalk Paint® colour onto the wood – painting in every direction. Leave to dry. Apply a second a coat of Chalk Paint®, if necessary, to achieve full coverage. Leave to dry. Use a Chalk Paint® Wax Brush or a lint-free cloth to apply Clear Chalk Paint® Wax all over the piece.
