Good for all applications, but generally used when the ECM has a high horsepower tune and additional fueling is not desired. ATLAS 40 – Improved throttle response and economy with a 40 HP gain. Useful for mild to heavy towing or when excessive exhaust gas temps (EGTs) are a concern. Good for trucks without head studs.
What should the Ficm voltage be on a 6.0 Powerstroke?
You should have a minimum of 45 volts to be within specification with the ignition key in the RUN position, cranking and engine running. Any voltage reading below 45 volts indicates a bad FICM and will need to be replaced. If you receive a 0 voltage reading while cranking you may have a bad FICM fuse and or relay.
Where is the Ficm relay located on a 6.0 Powerstroke?

What is a Ficm on a 6.0 Powerstroke?
On Ford 6.0L Powerstroke engines, the purpose of the Fuel Injection Control Module (FICM) is to supply 48 volts to the two solenoids that control pressurized oil flow to the fuel injector. The FICM uses a series of internal capacitors to turn the vehicle voltage (12-14.5 volts) into the 48-volt supply.
What makes a Ficm go bad?
While engine heat and vibration contributes to FICM failures, the number one cause (arguably) is a low battery voltage condition. As the FICM supply voltage drops the electrical current increases, damaging the FICM’s fragile circuitry.
How do you test a Ficm?
Take a multi-meter set on DC volts and connect the ground lead to battery negative, and with the key ON measure the voltage at the screw on your right—closest to the driver’s side fender. Do not let the probe short against the case! The voltage should be right at 48 volts. Anything between 47 and 49 is good.
Where is the Ficm fuse?
It is located under the hood on the drivers side next to the the ABS control module. It is going to be one of the square relays in the corner inside the box. The box is close to the firewall.
Will bad Ficm cause no start?
These symptoms are going to be most likely related to a power supply side failure, where the power to the injectors is inadequate or less than 48 volts. As it relates to the FICM, there are a few other symptoms to mention. One would be a complete no start situation where the engine cranks over, but will not run.
Can you run a FICM tune with a PCM tune?
Running a hot ficm tune paired with a race pcm tune can actually make you drop horse power due to the ficm and pcm “arguing” per say. Most ficm strategies have inductive heating enabled, but some strategies have it enabled up to 180+° which entirely too much time.
