What is the difference between IPAF and pasma?
IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) courses cover the safe use of powered access, while PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers Manufacturers Association) courses cover the safe use of mobile access towers.
Does pasma expire?
When you complete either IPAF or PASMA training, you’ll be issued with the appropriate card, showing the level of training completed as well as the expiry date. Both types of card are valid for 5 years, after which you will either need to take a refresher course or complete the full course again.

Do I need a PASMA certificate?
If you are asking if PASMA training is a legal requirement, then no you just need to be competent. If you think your assessor is wrong ask SSiP what they will accept. All the Sites i’ve been too have PASMA trained operatives for erection of Mobile Tower platforms.
Do you need IPAF for Mewp?
Safety awareness relevant to MEWPs is an integral part of the IPAF course and therefore previous safety awareness is not necessary for the operator, demonstrator and instructor courses.
What is the maximum height of a mobile tower?
