Summit Racing carries a variety of K1 Technologies crankshafts—both stroker and non-stroker—and with varying weights, rod lengths, engine strokes, and more. Every K1 Technologies crankshaft is made from 4340 steel that’s core-hardened and tempered to reduce stress and optimize tensile strength.
Are K1 rods good?
They are a decent low end import rod, better than Eagle. Compstar is just a little more if you cant swing a domestic piece.
What is K1 technology?
K1 Technologies produces “RACEREADY” ™ rods and cranks at very affordable prices. Their connecting rods and crankshafts are a cut above the average imported rod. They are made to their designs and are held to some of the tightest accepted tolerances in the racing industry.
Where are K1 rods made?
All of their stuff comes from China. I suspect the K1 parts do also only because of the price even if the company is based in MI.
Where are Callies Compstar rods made?
Compstar rods are started overseas, but are made from forging dies owned by Callies. Our Compstar rods are finish sized at our plant in Fostoria, Ohio and all critical dimensions are verified. Like all our products they fully designed and engineered by Callies.
Are Manley rods made in the USA?
Registered. Yep, compstars are offshore forgings finished at callies, dragonslayer and magnum are usa forging and finished at callies as well.
Are Eagle rods made in China?
Yes, the forged ‘blanks’ are from the same factory in China and the finished machining would be to the different branded company’s spec in house.
Where are Callies crankshafts?
For example, Callies has the budget-minded CompStar line of cranks that is fully produced in China but polished, balanced, and finish-inspected domestically.
