Is Sculpey Premo beige translucent?
Premo’s translucent polymer clays are quite clear, but have a beige color cast. Fimo, Sculpey III, and Kato have translucent clays that are not very clear. Any translucent will be cloudy when thick, none are perfectly transparent. Most translucents will brown easily if your oven’s temperature is incorrect.
What’s the difference between Sculpey and Premo?
Premo! Sculpey and Premo! Accents are softer than FIMO Classic, but stiffer than Sculpey III. Premo clays are fairly flexible after baking, making it less breakable even in thin pieces, and they are pretty strong because of this.

How do you color Sculpey Premo?

Can I mix Sculpey 3 with Premo?
Yes, UltraLight and Souffle both contain microbeads. So, therefore, you can create a fairly close duplicate of Sculpey Souffle by mixing Sculpey UltraLight with Sculpey III or Sculpey Premo. Since Sculpey III is pretty weak on its own, try mixing it 1:2 with UltraLight. But for Premo, try a 1:1 ratio.
What is the difference between Sculpey 3 and Premo?
Premo and Sculpey Soufflé on the other hand both have the same baking temperature of 275°F (130°C), but differ from Sculpey III in that it is recommended to bake for 30 minutes per 1/4 inch (6mm) of thickness. For a general rule of all brands, don’t bake lower or higher than the temperature on the packaging.
Can you use mica to color clay?
Mica powders will not stick to the surface of baked clay, so you’ll need to mix them with your favorite varnish or clearcoat to make a “paint”. On raw polymer clay, mica powders can be applied with a finger and smoothed (burnished) flat to enhance their shine.
