What rivers are included in the Ozark National Scenic Riverways?
The Current and Jacks Fork Rivers are two of the finest floating rivers you’ll find anywhere. Spring-fed, cold and clear they are a delight to canoe, swim, boat or fish. Besides these two famous rivers, the park is home to hundreds of freshwater springs, caves, trails and historic sites such as Alley Mill.
Can you camp along the Current River?
Poly-styrene is highly discouraged on this river. You can camp along the river as long as you are on public land.

Campsites 2 – 20 are first-come first-served. Campsites 21 – 55 and Group Sites 1 – 3 are available for reservation. Our store, located in the Pulltite Campground, is open from April through September.
Can you camp on gravel bars in Missouri?
Camping is also permitted on the many gravel bars along the Current River. There is presently no charge for “gravel bar” camping. This type of primitive camping on the river can make an extended canoe trip into a near wilderness experience and the following precautions should be practiced.

Spring laws. Springs are vital to life in the Riverways, but are very fragile. Boating and tubing are prohibited in the spring and spring branch of Alley, Round, Blue and Big Spring. Swimming, bathing and wading in springs and spring branches is prohibited.
