What was Randalls Island used for?

Randall’s Island Park pretty much takes up the entire area of the land that’s between Manhattan and Queens. Maybe get there by walking across a bridge. The bus is another option.
Is this the real Randall’s Island?
No this is Randall’s island, and it is fabulous. Countless baseball, soccer fields and a huge stadium with an incredible track for events. We were here for a track championship event and I was really impressed by the island and stadium. Amazing that this little sports filled Randall’s island is so close – who knew!
