Is Agricola hard to learn?
Agricola is a VERY easy game to learn if you have someone to explain it logically. I have had no trouble teaching Agricola to a lot of people, most of whom wouldn’t touch something deemed “medium/heavy Euro” with a 10-foot pole.
How do you set up Agricola?
Game setup
- Choose a colour and take the pieces.
- Take 1 farmyard and place it in front.
- Place a Wooden Room Hut Tile on each of the 2 building spaces on the farmyard.
- Place your family member on each of these room tiles.
- Place remaining pieces in a bag and put aside.
Is Agricola good solo?
Also, if you want to keep solving the puzzle but you are tired of performing the same actions and moving the same animeeples around repeatedly during early rounds of the game, Agricola has a pretty good app that includes the solo campaign mode. It’s easier to speed through the early turns that way.
How good is Agricola?
The Good: [Agricola, ] reminds me of a mix of Princes of Florence and Caylus and that’s a really good thing. The basic mechanics are excellent and very easy to understand in a short amount of time (even if they are hard to explain). [Worker placement] is one of my favorite mechanics, and this game does it well.

Who starts first in Agricola?
On each of the two building spaces on this farmyard, players first place a Wooden hut room tile and then (in each of these rooms) one of their Family members. The remaining playing pieces (additional Family members, fences and stables) remain in the bag for now or are placed to one side.
Can you play Agricola with two players?
Agricola is great with 2 players. You won’t miss out on parts of the game or anything like that. The main board is for 2 players and when you play with more players extra action fields are added so that there are enough resources for everyone.
What type of database is Agricola?
Agricola is a database of agricultural literature created by the National Agricultural Library of the USDA. It indexes journals, magazines, conference reports, theses and dissertations, books and book chapters from 1970 forward, though in some cases newer materials aren’t there yet.
