What is it like to study at Southern Methodist University?
At that point, my professors were very understanding of the uncertain times and handled everything well. Southern Methodist University has incredible teachers that are dedicated to empowering students. One downside is the student life there is intimidatingly wealthy and beautiful.
What is it like to attend SMU?
SMU has been incredible. After a lot of thought and a campus visit, I chose SMU and love it. Despite the “stereotypes” (all colleges have them) I went in with an open mind-and had also heard differing opinions from the steroptypical one from others who are there or have attended.
Do you take classes online or in person at SMU?
Mostly in person, One class this semester online. SMU tried the flex system which had flaws in the fine print so that teachers were allowed to deduct grade points for students not in class. Either way, most teachers were relaxed to do class on zoom. I personally enjoy in person class and go as much as possible.
Why do people not succeed at SMU?
With a lack of resources available, you might find yourself in a position to not succeed. I was convinced to choose the two hardest majors I could and did really well in them yet still have no knowledge of what I need to know for the future. SMU thrives on dumb people telling smart people what to do to boost their numbers in certain ways.
