What is a Homebridge?
Able to run on practically any computer, Homebridge is, as the name suggests, a bridge between HomeKit and other smart home devices. A lightweight NodeJS server that emulates the iOS HomeKit API, Homebridge is open-source software that provides the support that’s lacking from the platform.
Does hoobs support Nest?
We do not support the discontinued Nest Secure system. We also do not support cameras – but for that, there is the excellent homebridge-nest-cam plug-in.
What language is Homebridge written?

Why does HomeBridge-nest take so long to install?
This updates `homebridge-nest`’s dependencies so that `eslint` is one of the `devDependencies`, rather than one of the main `dependencies`. This reduces the amount to install and thus the install time when installing the plugin – especially given the `eslint` itself has quite a lot of onward dependencies.
