Do you have to pay for Scoutly?
We offer two service plans starting at $9.95 per month. Each plan offers you a free trial to evaluate. A subscription to the Lite plan allows you to scan and scout items in the Scoutly app using the live search feature, which requires an internet connection.
What is Scoutly?
Scoutly is a scouting app that runs on your iPhone or Android phone. It allows you to check any item’s Amazon landed price information from an offline database. This offline database search does not require an Internet connection so that you can check items in less than a second.
Is there an app to scan books?
If you have long-term, heavy duty scanning ahead of you, particularly of books, I highly recommend Abbyy FineScanner Pro, despite its high cost. If your scanning jobs are instead occasional, Scanbot Pro is likely the app to get. Both are available on Android and iOS.
How do I unsubscribe from Scoutly?
Click the Account icon in the top-right hand corner of Help Scout, then select the Your Plan option from the dropdown menu. Click the red Cancel Account link at the bottom of the page. Choose the reason you’re canceling your account, then click Cancel my account to immediately cancel your account.
Is ScoutIQ just for books?
Is ScoutIQ only for books? No! With ScoutIQ you can do live lookups for any item on Amazon just by scanning the barcode.

Do I need a professional Amazon account? To use the database only, a professional seller’s account is not needed. To use live lookups, a professional seller’s account is required.

ScoutIQ Live – This plan requires a cell signal or a WiFi connection, and will look up books in live time and return the results directly from Amazon’s API. We’ll pull eScore from an internet database so you can still access our proprietary data even without a downloaded database.
