What would cause a P0102 code?
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0102 isn’t in every vehicle’s code library, but whenever it appears it means “Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Low.” The code is set when the ECM/PCM perceives a problem with the mass airflow (MAF) sensor’s performance. The MAF sensor is mounted between the air filter and the throttle body.
How do you fix mass or volume airflow circuit low input?
Inspect the electrical connector to the MAF to insure it is attached correctly. Disconnect it and then reinstall to insure fresh electrical connection to remove any corrosion on the contacts. Thoroughly inspect for wiring being frayed, damaged, or broken on the connector. Repair or replace as necessary.

Upon replacing the Mass Air Flow Sensor, turn on the engine light to ensure it still has its function. You can unhook the battery and leave it unhooked for 10 minutes to completely reset the entire system. The battery will not harm itself if left unhooked for more than 10 minutes.
