What is Duofilm used for?
The name of your medicine is Duofilm. It contains two medicines called salicylic acid and lactic acid. It works by softening the skin of a wart, causing it to peel off. Duofilm is used to treat warts.
How effective is Duofilm?
Duofilm is BY FAR the best and only way to get rid of warts. I had a wart on my finger and my dermatologist burnt it off with dry ice twice and it came back, the dr then used blister beetle. Nope, wart stayed. I used duofilm for about a month every day and wart disappears.
Can I use Duofilm on face?
Duofilm should not be used on the face, anogenital regions, moles, birthmarks, mucous membranes, warts with hair growing from them, red edges or an unusual colour. Avoid applying to normal skin. Duofilm contains colophony which may cause allergic contact dermatitis. Duofilm may cause eye irritation.
What to do after using Duofilm?
Take care to avoid getting the paint on healthy areas of skin as this can cause blistering and peeling. Let the Duofilm dry, then cover the wart with a plaster. Try to leave this on until you repeat the treatment the next day.
Can you cut off a wart?

Check your product package and follow the directions carefully. You may cover the area loosely with a bandage. Repeat this procedure 1 to 2 times daily for up to 2 weeks for corns and calluses and 12 weeks for warts or as directed by your doctor.
Can I use Wartner on skin tags?
There are no specifically licensed over-the-counter remedies and patients should be advised not to use salicylic acid based wart treatments on skin tags because these can damage the skin, causing scarring. (Although unlicensed for the treatment of skin tags, some patients have used Wartner in an effort to remove them.)
Can Duofilm remove moles?
It helps to keep the area clean and also keeps the salicylic acid and moisture in contact with the skin. This product should not be used on the face or on moles, birthmarks, warts with hair growing from them, or genital/anal warts.
