What is VCE English?
You’ve decided to study VCE English Language, a sociolinguistics course that will expand your understanding and appreciation of language. This is a highly technical area of study that considers the formal systems and structures of language, as well as the way language is used to perform various social functions.

How long is the VCE English exam?
There will be 15 minutes reading time and 3 hours writing time. The examination will be marked by a panel appointed by the VCAA. The examination will contribute 50 per cent to the study score.

What should I bring to English exam?

Can I study English without literature?
The good news is that there are actually some Federal, state, and private Universities courses that you can study even without Passing Literature In English. Having said that, you cannot study engineering courses, Civil Law, Theatre Arts, English And Literary Studies without passing Literature in one or two sittings.
Is English Language a hard A Level?
Difficulty. It’s an essay style subject, but some science people take it as it’s quite a scientific essay subject.
