what score do i need for certain colleges?
What else do colleges look at besides your act score?
i just need to know more about this test cause i have no idea what it is or anytihng about it.
Colleges will look at your ACT score, your grades, your essays and extracurricular activities. The ACT score is a part of what they look at, but it’s not a huge part. A super-low score could keep you out of a college, or a super-high score could get you into a college, but usually it’s just going to be another consideration for them.
If you’re looking to go to certain colleges, you should go to their website. Somewhere it should say what the average ACT score is of entering freshmen.
The first thing you should do is to browse through the ACT website, (actstudent.org) and to get an ACT study book. Take a practice test to figure out what you need to work on, and then work your way through the book. Take practice tests periodically to see how you’re doing and what you still need to work on.
When you take the ACT, you have the option to take the writing test (essay) or not. Some colleges will require that you take the writing, so it’s a good idea.
Another thing to remember is that some people take the SAT as well as the ACT. Different colleges prefer different tests, and people do better on one test or the other. You might want to consider looking at this test, too. The website for that is collegeboard.org.
