Anyone have any ideas for what I should write my synthesis paper on?

QUESTION
Anyone have any ideas for what I should write my synthesis paper on?
For English I have to write a synthesis paper that addresses the prompt that I choose with examples and clearly states both sides of the issue. It needs to be at least six pages so does anyone have any ideas for what I should write my synthesis paper on any ideas would be great!! Thank You!

ANSWER
First, determine whether you are going to support, refute, or qualify the prompt. Then summarize the main point in each source. Determine whether the source supports, refutes, or qualifies the prompt. Organize similar sources into groups that you can make complex generalizations about. Outline your ideas for supporting, refuting, or qualifying the prompt in your introductory paragraph. Also in your introductory paragraph, make sure to STATE YOUR CLAIM. In a body paragraph, make sure to present a counter-argument to your claim, and prove it wrong. FYI, qualifying the prompt is often the best way to go. It shows you know the complexities and nuances of the concept. Obviously, use several (2-3) documents in each paragraph. The whole point of the essay is to see how well you can understand the similarities and differences between the sources and how they relate to the prompt. Good luck!
