What are the visiting hours at Rikers Island?
Beginning on June 25th, 2021, visits will be afforded in one-hour time slots in the following time periods: Wednesday -Thursday: In-Person Visits: 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Does Rikers Island have conjugal visits?
Conjugal visits are not allowed at Rikers, even for the newly wed. But once married, the couples can apply for a chance for time alone if the incarcerated spouse is moved to one of the state prisons that allow such visits.
Do conjugal rights still exist?
There are only four states in the US still allowing conjugal visits in their prisons: California, Connecticut, New York, and Washington.
Is Rikers Island open for visits?
The Correction Department said social-distancing rules will still be enforced. Visitors who test positive won’t be allowed to visit, but can set up a tele-visit or another in-person visit in the future after quarantining. Walk-in visits are allowed this week.
What can I wear to a jail visit?
No transparent, sheer, strapless or halter clothing is allowed. Skirts and dresses must not be more than two inches above the knee. Wigs, hair extensions and other hair accessories may not be worn, with the exception of medical issue and doctors note. Any clothing with offensive writing/images is not allowed.
What are the visiting hours at the library?
1 2:40 p.m. – 3:40 p.m. Visiting will take place on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. Schedule requests will be accepted 2 weeks prior for the next visiting session. Visiting hours will be 8:00am-10:30am for the morning session and 1:00-3:30pm for the afternoon session.
How do I schedule visits to DOC facilities?
The system allows you to search available dates and times for visiting. Each DOC facility has a link on its visiting page of the DOC’s website. This link takes you to the scheduling system. You can also still call a facility to schedule visits just as you have always been able to do.

What are the visiting guidelines for Oregon Department of Corrections?

Adults in custody in the Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC) facilities wear blue, so for security reasons, visitors will not be allowed into the facility if they are wearing blue and/or denim clothing.
