Attention getter for persuasive speech?

QUESTION
Attention getter for persuasive speech?
I’m writing a persuasive essay for on why living in big cities is better than living in small towns. I have my body paragraphs down, and I have yet to start my conclusion, but I have completely no idea on how to start off the essay with a good thesis.

ANSWER
The thesis statement should be:
“Living in big cities is better than living in small towns for three significant reasons.”

Here’s how you’d use it:

Intro paragraph
Blah blah a little background, or a quote, or any other attractive opener for the topic.
“As Hunter Leigh said in his novel “Brainstorm,” living in big cities is always a thrill.” Most of the world has shifted to big cities, and the percent of people living in supermetropolitan areas is now 87%, with a scant 13% living in rural areas….blah blah whatever. (Now at the end of the intro paragraph, give your thesis statement) This shift to urban living comes as no surprise because living in big cities is better than living in small towns for three significant reasons. (<-- thesis statement) First body paragraph (The thesis statement functions as a graceful lead into the first body paragraph, like this..) One of the most interesting ways that life in a big city is better than life in a small town is .... whatever.
