BENGALURU: The Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to send a strong message of strength in Bengaluru, where it is a candidate in assembly elections in March, winning a total of 20 seats in the 70-member state assembly.In a message to the people of Bengaluru city, BJP president Rajnath Singh said the BJP was confident of winning enough seats to form the government.”I am sure that the BJP will be able to come to power in the Bengaluru region. We are confident of winning 20 seats in the assembly.”I am confident that we’ll be able to form the government in Bengaluru,” Singh told reporters outside Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) office here.The BJP president said the BJP would fulfill its promise of keeping a strong hand on unemployment and poverty in the states.At present, the BJP is the sole challenger in the Kannada heartland of Bengaluru, but the BJP-led alliance is aiming to contest the entire state.”We’ll be strong in Bengaluru, we are confident. We can be the largest party in Bengaluru,” a defiant Singh told reporters.The BJP is confident of winning four of the seven seats in the region, the region is dominated by the BJP and its ally, a group led by the Left Party, which has fielded its own candidate in each spot.”We’re very confident about Bengaluru,” declared Singh, while addressing a joint press conference held by the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) to highlight the state government’s failure to bring out promised water security.Bengaluru is one of the best performing cities with the highest rate of growth in terms of per capita income in India,” the BJP president said.The BJP president said the BJP was keen on ensuring that Bengaluru was “vibrant” despite the state government’s failures in implementing much-promised steps in the drought-hit city.Besides the 14% reservation for Kannadigas in Bengaluru, the BJP-led state government is committed to implementing several other ambitious programmes like the Swachh Bharat campaign, making the city the first in India, the BJP president stated.Singh said the BJP was not making any announcement yet on the formation of government in the assembly elections scheduled to be held on April 9.He said a decision on the government formation in the assembly was likely to be taken on Tuesday, but no specific date has been decided as yet.This blog’s post will be a quick introduction to Python.
