Can I convert my bicycle to disc brakes?

It is possible you can use your existing brifters IF you choose a cable-actuated disk brake caliper. However if you’re going the whole way, you will need replacement brifters with hydraulic brake support, that match your existing gear setup.

Is it worth it? It won’t stop faster but it does have the advantages listed. Up grading the fronts to a larger caliper and vented rotors plus sticky tires will. I might add that I have found that disc brakes are easier to modulate and hold nearer to lock up than drums. Drum brakes tend to grab and hold. It might just be me.

How do you wire trailer brakes?

remove the nut from the brake assembly and take off the dust cap;

loosen the screw on the back of the brake assembly and pull out the brake shoes;

remove the wire from the clip and pull out the old brake cable;

thread the new brake cable through the hole in the brake assembly and put on a nut;

Can surge brakes be converted to electric on trailer?
