Did you like flowers for algernon movie or book better? Why?
I need to write an essay about if I like the movie or book better and why but I never saw the movie. Please help
Look, I’m sure if you never saw the movie the teacher will let it ride. I mean is he teaching English Literature or movie watching. In general a movie script is equivalent to 35 page story. Therefore if Flowers for Algernon, one of my favorites is longer than 35 pages the book is better. It is a novella I believe, I just don’t remember how long it was. Most movies do not have the same detail and insight as a book because there is no “Narrator”. Of course in this case Charlie is the narrator which is why it was probably made into movie. The one advantage is that movie can skip tons of description by using sets but again FFA is not a big scenery type story. Cliff Robertson being an excellent actor lent emotion to story that book could only try to do. I think I saw movie but don’t remember. The book conveys anything a movie could in my thinking. I think any written work affects people differerently and is more powerful than a movie which is the same to all who see it.
