does anyone know how i can contact a world war two veteran? i need interview one for a history project!?
the purpose of this interview is to determine the motivation of a soldier during world war two. we had to read the book up front by bill mauldin and the next task is to interview a veteran. once i have done that i must write an essay as to how the motivation of the american soldier evolved throughout the war.
If you are in America you can look up in the telephone book the address of the nearest VFW or American Legion home. Perhaps the post commander can help you.
There are still some WWII veterans who attend meetings and associate with post activities.
World War two was over 60 years ago, many WWII veterans die every day.
Also, if you have any neighbors that you are friendly with and they are WWII veterans you might also talk to them. Perhaps your grandfather knows someone.
Good luck in your project.
