Essay should be a reflection on the human experience?
I have to do a personal narrative essay for English but the assignment says that the essay should be a reflection on the human experience. What does that mean?
Huh. That’s a bit of a contradiction, there. I consider “the human experience” to be a sort of generic human life – a string of the most shared experiences. Birth, childhood, adolescence, sexual experience, perhaps marriage, procreating, old age, death – among other things.. Those universal happenings, the things virtually all human beings go through, in roughly the same order, before dying – as well as the emotions these happenings elicit in us.
So. . . is it meant to be personal, or is it meant to be universal? Sheesh. Not impressed with your instructions at all.
