Help with using the alternating method to outline a comparison/contrast essay?

QUESTION
Help with using the alternating method to outline a comparison/contrast essay?
This is an example I found online:
I. Introduction in which you state your purpose which is to discuss differences between vacationing in the mountains or at the beach
II. First difference between mountains and beaches is climate
A. Mountains
B. Beach
III. Second difference between mountains and beaches are types of activities
A. Mountains
B. Beach

and blah blah blah… I get that but I don’t get HOW or WHAT to write in for the “A” or “B” IN THE OUTLINE- not just the “beach” “mountain”, “beach” “mountain”…

ANSWER
the outline is okay, when you expand the outline to the essay, then you can add the details that make up the differences between them.

For example:
under II First difference between mountains and beaches is climate
A. Mountains
What is the climate of a mountain like? (cool, green, etc.)
B. Beach
What is the climate of a beach like? (warm, damp, windy etc.)

with outlines you simply are giving basic ideas down on paper so that when you write the essay you have a ‘memory jiggler’ to get those brain cells thinking and processing ideas.

Good luck.
