QUESTION
How do you calculate ACT score without writing?
What is the total score of ACT?
What is the score each question and how do you calculate the ACT score?
Please help me!! Chart will be helpful 🙂

ANSWER
The English Section is made up of two main categories:
– Multiple Choice – which counts for 2/3 of your full English section score (24 points maximum),
– Essay – which counts for 1/3 of your full English section score (12 points maximum),
Together, they make up 36 points

If you do not take the Essay portion of the test, then your Multiple Choice score is translated to a 36 point scale and will then be your entire English Section score. For instance:

If you did not do the essay, but scored a 30 on the Multiple Choice English, your English section score will be a 30 out of 36 possible points. If you also wrote the essay, and scored an 8 on the essay, your score would be:

30/36 translated to a 24 point scale =
20 + 8 = 28

Most Universities DO require all sections of the exam, though, so make sure when you are applying to Universities, that you double check the ACT requirements on their Undergrad Admissions web page.
