How does sexuality-and all its identities, meanings, and practices-interact with the social, political…….?

QUESTION
How does sexuality-and all its identities, meanings, and practices-interact with the social, political…….?
For my essay topic, the question the teacher gave us after reading three articles was:
How does sexuality-and all its identities, meanings, and practices-interact with the social, political, economic, and historical institutions that provide access to legal immigration, U.S. citizenship, and ethnic community identification within national borders.

My questions is what does she mean by that? what exactly is it asking me to discuss?
Thank You.

ANSWER
Holy crap that is a HUGE topic, haha. I think you had better talk to her about exactly what she wants because imo it needs to be narrowed down a lot to be manageable. You could write a book on that topic.

Sexuality and all its identities, meanings- could refer to sex as in male or female or intersex and the psychological and physical things that come with each, or it could probably refer to sexual orientation

practices- again sexual orientation could come into play here (WSW, for example) and then things like threesomes or orgies, masturbation and fetishes would all fall under that category as well. Just google sexual practices for more examples.

social- ie/ stigma attatched to say, being male, and having people be more wary of you because they view males as being more threatening, or how extramarital sex is looked down upon, as well as things like threesomes , masturbation and fetishes or how its considered shameful to show too much of one’s body

political- ie/ men have traditionally had more power when it comes to politics- I mean, USA hasn’t even had a female president yet. How its legal for men to go shirtless but not women could also be talked about, spilling over from the social category

economic- ie/ females make less money than males all over the world

don’t know much about the legalities of immigration or getting a US citizenship because I’m Canadian so I couldn’t help you there. Hope that helps you to get started though, at least.
