How is one-sided love not true love? I am trying to prove that one-sided love cannot be true love in my essay!
THANK YOU!!! (: (By the way, I am doing my essay on Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. For those of you who have read the book, the one-sided love that I am talking about is Pip loving Estella.) Please give me examples/evidence or simply explain why you think that one-sided love cannot be counted as TRUE LOVE. Thanks, once again!
An example of one-sided true love… is if I love someone truly, but the other one doesn’t back…. While that could be called true love… I think a better description is “I am truly in love with him”…. so that can be one-sided true love.
But I think for true love to be really called true love between two people… I think that the “true love” has to be mutual… a giving and receiving… True love is the ability to not only love [someone], but also to BE LOVED [back in the same way by someone]
