How to write a killer essay?
It is important to understand the characteristics of the essay genre. The term “essay” is literally deciphered as “experience”, “attempt” or “sketch”. Also, literary theorists claim that the essay is a small text written in free form. It conveys the author’s opinion on a particular issue. For the comparison, the abstract describes specific facts or studies, and the author sums up the results of other experts’ researches. That is, it is possible to say with certainty that theses and abstracts have a more scientific character than an essay.
Such works are often written at school. But at the university, the demands are much stricter. The academic papers should be written in accordance with standard requirements:
What benefits does animal testing have?
Since the mid-20th century, the medical and biological experiments have been conducted in many countries of the world. The large number of complications and failures which have been corrected and supplemented thanks to modern research. Now the public and the medical community speaks with respect of the laws and practice of medicine, and the human rights movement is well known.
However, the history of this problem reaches the start of the 20th century, when public organizations first began to fight for the rights of animals, and at the same time, the attitude of the society to such experiments was quite mixed.
By the beginning of the 20th century, the attitude towards the use of animals was not very different. In the late XIX century, in Great Britain, the abridged version of the law on animal testing was introduced, which was described in detail in the chapter “The Miscellency of the Test for Human Rights”. It allowed the cruelest methods of testing of human organs, and the first version of the history of this problem was clearly written in it. This work was called the “Mental Measurement” and it was described in detail in the chapter “Description of the Methods used”. XIX century was also characterized by the “First Law on the Protection of Animals”. It regulated the work with animals, first of all, in the United Kingdom, and then in other countries. The first law in the world on the protection of animals for laboratory purposes was introduced in England in the XVII century. In 1862, it established the Animal Welfare Act. In general, in the world, the norms on the protection of experimental animals were very similar to the so-called “Animal Testing Act” which dated back to the 19th century. In the first half of the 20th century, the application of this law became fairly common. In the QI century, the practice of medicine against animals was widespread. The great number of animals died in consequence of the introduction of this method.
However, the history of this problem reaches the end of the 20th century. The second half of the 20th century was marked by the triumph of science – a general direction of human activity in the pathway of which the industrial revolution began. The first half of the 20th century was marked by the victory of medicine over nature – a transition from the individual to the collective attitude of society. The technologies of the development of medicine and mechanized production of it (in particular, pharmaceuticals) were capable of a huge impact on the non-life of living organisms. However, this side of the argument is rarely mentioned in studies of urban air pollution.
For most of the 20th century, industrial capitalism conquered the world in a cheap and efficiently way. Many countries of the world responded to the challenge of adapting to technological changes through the program of the development process of industry. This resulted in the emergence of a new order in the process of economic change. The magnitude of the transformations was such that the trajectories of the movement of the economy was nearly always changing.
The economy proved its superiority over the environment by adjusting the quality of working conditions to the level of the economy. This meant that the social, domestic and foreign sectors of the economy have equal terms. In the process of adjustment, the economy benefited both sectors.
