How to write about the American Dream?
The American Dream, as a whole, is the American Dream of individual material success, the ultimate point of which is American Dream. The whole world and the entire humanity are required to provide the new working conditions and opportunities for the vast majority of the population.
The whole population of the United States and England were alienated from the traditional world of wealth and established in the low classes. Only the wealthy and the powerful could achieve even the most ambitious goals. The ordinary and humble laborer was deprived of the possibility to create his own fortune only within the walls of a manufacturing factory. Of course, many people were disappointed by this choice, but the dream of wealth was achievable anyway. The only thing that the European countries and the United States could agree on was working conditions in the United States.
The main postulate of American Dream is the United States as a free market economy, which, in the spirit of the natural law, determines the social and economic status of each participant. American Dream essay is all about the America, the greatness of the world and the possibility of further progress based on the knowledge and example of the United States.
In the European Union, the ideals of humanism were placed above material practice, and life success was determined by many parameters. America narrowed the idea of success to one component in a concrete, tangible form, and success was determined by the number of banknotes. The dream of success was embodied, as Tocqueville said, in the romance of figures which have an irresistible charm. The cult of wealth has become almost religious. It was a special form of idealism, which, however, were deeply in the heart of the Founding Fathers.
Writing the American Dream paper, you can refer to the words of Thomas More: “They who give others their happiness, – they who are able to share her fate and to create wealth only if others suffer”. It is a great quote, and the essence of it is embodied, which is that the individual is capable of achieving everything if he has the only deep belief that the world will be better, and the next generations will serve as a guide to the future.”
More precisely, it is embodied in the image of the American Dream, which is aptly called Nightmare of the American Dream. This is a kind of American Dream, the outcome of the natural human experience which fails to be realized in the collective consciousness of the participant, the practitioner and the user.
We can observe the strange world in the process of the elimination of poverty which is called poverty of opportunity (logos). The widest and most profound use of this concept is as follows: the individual is free from the need to own the environment, the resources of the state, space, and superiority.
There is a serious problem here, which should be taken into account while considering the role of the individual in the formation of the concept of American Dream essay. The contemporary US concept offers the working class a chance to return to the position it occupies in, to participate in the management and distribution of wealth, and to achieve economic equality.
However, the society is rather far from the ideal state. The unemployment rate indicates the degree of social stratification. Very high salaries are offered in the public sector, while the real standard of living is hardly attainable. The real factor of the concentration of income from the workplace is the imbalance of the social structure of the United States.
The number of millionaires, Inc. included one million new people who came from the lower strata, changed or increased their status due to the opportunities of economic liberalism granted by the program of the Civil Service and other state initiatives.
The level of social stratification of the United States in comparison with other OECD countries of the world is higher. While its citizens enjoy the incomes above the middle class, this society receives, in fact, the lowest income of the whole country.
There are lots of ways to improve the material situation of the working class: increase in the quantity of goods, flexible discounts, bonuses. However, in the process of change, the attitude of the society to these changes must be changed, and, preferably, it has to be radically transformed.
In the process of reforming, the attitude of officials and some members of the public to certain types of income, duties and benefits should be changed. When the economy goes down and the prices rise, the minimum wage rates become too low to pay for living. Thus, the program should be adjusted to cover the cost of living.
This is a fairly common opinion among the experts of the leading reformist countries of the world. Naturally, there are some objections to this proposal. The fact is that a large number of individuals entered the labor market and did not pay for living. Also, the social safety system requires certain expenditures. The program which pays thousands of unemployed people has a serious impact on the budget. A rise in wages could lead to the destruction of the middle class.
