It is no secret to anyone that the United States is definitely not a “money” country. We are proud of the first legislation in the world which provided the lower classes with the opportunity to earn a living wage by producing something and trying to keep it as much as it was possible. But since then, everything has changed drastically. The starting back in the class from the very beginning has become India. The middle class got larger and the number of people beyond the middle class increased. But the aspirations of the middle class have always been aimed at increasing the status in society. And this aspiration makes it possible to maintain the middle class in its position. However, the modern level of economic growth has disappointed the middle class. As it allows to realize the weakness of the people, the interests of the middle class are backed by the interests of the whole society.

The product of the middle class is important for the social and economic progress of the country. Therefore, the proportion of income from it is very high. But the distribution of income is uneven, and, which for what gives rise to inequality, is directly connected with the transformations of the society.

The model of income distribution in the United States is quite simple, and the causes are obvious. The massive growth of the middle class occurred exactly within the framework of the radical transformation of the views of the American ideology. The elite of the country made extensive efforts to secure the equality of opportunities in the economy, and broadened the possibilities for the emergence of social mobility. America created a new social order. The upper and middle classes, having gained a measure of independence, began to act as a unified power.

But the manner in which the middle class acts cannot be replicated in its pure form. The function of the middle class is to execute the functions of the social and state structure, to provide a wide range of benefits to a broad stratum of citizens. In the process of economic development, the middle class exploits the weaknesses of others, performs various actions depending on the needs of the entire society.

A number of rights related to the equality of opportunities, which were unique in different epochs, were universalized and acquired a legal character. These include, for example, the right to life, liberty, security, adequate food, fair trial, freedom of movement, citizenship, family, property, freedom of thought, conscience, religion, convictions, work, rest and education.

The dynamics of economic progress, in other words, the squeezing of income from the middle class caused a change in the class structure of the United States. The start of the twentieth century was characterized by the struggle of the vast majority of the population – the lower and middle classes.

The major change in the composition of the middle class was induced by the dynamic of economic development. The share of the labor force employed in industry declined. The number of people employed in agriculture decreased. The number of farmers reduced. The number of workers engaged in agriculture decreased.
