How would start an essay if you’re writing about the rhetorical devices in a book?
How would you start the introduction? what would write in the introduction?
It seems to me that there are far too many such devices to attempt any sort of categorical listing. If you wanted to be novel, you could simply list every one of them. You’d probably wind up with an entire paragraph of text this way. The problem though is that it wouldn’t be a terribly valuable paragraph without additional supporting paragraphs, and if your instructor doesn’t share your sense of humor you will lose points.
Try to determine a single question which the rest of your essay will answer. Then, pose the question and list your planned approach to address answering it. Finally, answer it!
