QUESTION
I am a 17 yrs old Indian from Mumbai pursuing commerce field and want to study in HBS. How to go about it?
I am currently in second year of my college in commerce stream yet to pursue degree. In this field there are under-graduate degree courses of 3 years only and then after that there’s post-graduation whereas Harvard’s website states a requirement of a 4 year under-graduate degree. I have this strong will to go to Harvard and now it seems my dreams are shattered. Can someone please advise me? Also I would like to know more about getting admission into HBS other than whats already mentioned on its website.

ANSWER
first of all it would be better if you are in an international board such as IB or A levels, etc
if not then you have to clear many tests my friend, TOEFL,SAT’S..the list goes on (plus you need to be amazing at them say for example for SAT you need at least 2100 or above)
and for ivy league’s you need SAT’s II in at least 2 subjects or more.
so its a tough task ahead

plus if you study in an Indian board, then i would suggest that you at least pass two or more A level subjects with at least grade A

on the other hand you should know that getting into Harvard is tremendously tough, I’m not trying to get your hopes down, but the best of the best students don’t get in.
your college essay should also be amazing
its not an easy road

also colleges such as these are really pricey
if you want to go to business school, you can try university of Notre dame, or Lehigh university, they have good business programs

you can check other colleges that have great business program and one of them is Warton (U-pen) which is an ivy league also

so there are other colleges
so don’t lose hope
and keep on trying!
all the best
hope i helped 🙂
