Each Stratego set comes with a 10X10 board to play on. The board is large enough to accommodate both players’ armies plus non-moving pieces. Do not place any pieces on or near these spots when you set up the game.
How do you rank pieces in Stratego?
Revealed pieces on strikes precede the square designation, and may be by either rank name or rank number for brevity, for example “major B2xcaptain B3”. The bottom half of the board is by default considered to be the ‘red’ side, and the top half the ‘blue’ side. Unlike chess, Stratego is a game of incomplete information.
