Humanities? Like? Please help me!
This information is based on the SparkNotes SAT guide.
-Write 3-4 sentence paragraphs only. It will save time for you.
-3 body paragraphs is the easiest way to get a 6 from your raters
-When you con only think of a hypothetical situation, say you read an article and your hypothetical situation was the article. It makes hypothetical a definite and you can make up whatever you want.
-Try to have 1-2 examples from history or a book that you read. SAT raters look highly upon history and reading.
For me, I used Hearts in Atlantis for all of my essays. If you have never read it, try it before you take the test (if you have time). It will touch upon almost any topic tha they can give you. Fight Club is another great book for the SAT. It is loaded with philosophy and has a lot to do with consumerism, which is a big topic for the SAT.
***ALMOST ALL WRITING PROMPTS ARE PHILOSOPHICAL OR BASED ON MORAL AND HUMAN BEHAVIOR***
This is why these books are great. One other big thing, they dont take off points for wrong dates or names as long as you are close.
Hearts in Atlantis by Stephen King
Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk
(aside from being very helpful, they are great books)
