should an essay of 250-500 words be broken down into paragraphs?
I am doing an essay for college applications and I don’t know if I should write one big paragraph or like a formal essay? Since its relatively short, I was thinking it should be one big paragraph?
What did they ask for? If they don’t say essay, they probably aren’t looking for one, given the length. Does writing an essay weaken your argument here? Because it’s only 250-500 words, you actually stand a chance of not having a strong argument by making it into an essay. If it’s just a paragraph then you have your topic sentence, your supporting evidence, then your conclusion, but if it’s an essay you have to have all that for each paragraph, plus a thesis, which takes away from your word count.
