What are the best SAT topics to talk about on the Essay section of the SAT?

QUESTION
What are the best SAT topics to talk about on the Essay section of the SAT?
What are some universal topics that I could talk about in my SAT essay? I’d rather not speak about personal experiences because when I did that, I received a lower score on my diagnostic. Instead, I’d like to have specific events or people or things like that. Any ideas? Please help me. I’m taking the SAT in about 2 weeks.

ANSWER
Actually, personal events generally work well if you pick one that’s highly relevant to the topic. It’s usually easier to write about something that you’re very familiar with, as opposed to say, historical events, where you could get some major details wrong.

If you’re good with history, you could write about both past history and current events if they relate to your topic. The lives of celebrities are also another possibility (again, providing if it’s relevant).

There is also the possibility of making up a relevant personal experience, as long as it isn’t ridiculously far-fetched. The SAT essay graders don’t know you and the whole point of the essay is to test a variation of sentence structure and how well your grammar use is (and all the other good stuff that goes into good writing).
