wHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE {{SAT}} & THE {{ACT}}?

QUESTION
wHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE {{SAT}} & THE {{ACT}}?
& WHAT AGE SHOULD I TAKE THEM??

ANSWER
SAT: 3 subjects (Math, Critical Reading, Writing) + essay
ACT: 4 subjects (English, Math, Reading, and Science) + essay

The essay is optional on both tests.

The SAT is considered harder, but then again, it depends on the person. The SAT is out of 2400 and the ACT is out of 36.

Many colleges don’t look at the writing section in the SAT (because it’s new), so some colleges make the SAT out of 1600 (taking off the writing score).

You should take them in eleventh grade. When you are in twelfth grade, retake them if you want to improve.
