What is a moral act in society? How can it affect the eternal destiny of a human? These are the questions posed by religious circles in the course of the development of morals. The early church was extremely strict in terms of control over the body, i.e. abstinence and ascetic lifestyle. These values were used to preserve the original, dignified image of human flesh.
Such views were maintained even in the very beginning of the XIX century. The Church began to impose them on the community. In a system of values identification, all relations between people were built on the basis of mutual trust and love.
So, it is quite natural that the primitive group of people living on the street often considered themselves free. Unable to live without superstition, they were subjected to various rituals – among which the initiation (the sacrifice) was quite prominent. Unlike other superstitious religions, the primitive creation (the image of God as the great father) was shaped by superstition.
Religious circles criticized the new culture for introducing “sick people” into the world of marriage. The Church believed that flesh is inherently evil, and it is better to avoid the burden of sins at the moment of death. The idealization of the human is attributed to the work of the Almighty: “He comes, will not leave” – the slogan of the Protestant Church in its morality of love.
Such ideas were supported by great spiritual and moral power. The high suicide rate due to the high level of mortality in the populations of the most developed countries of Western Europe and North America corresponded to the level of mortality in the settlements of the poor agricultural landless peasants. The number of voluntary deaths among the adult population of these countries of the late XIX century.
A number of voluntary deaths among urban residents has reached 1.5 million. The frequency of suicide among urban residents has several times higher than the rate of suicide among rural residents.
Married couples lack the opportunity to have own offsprings. Most urban residents marry pairs, and modern people have more possibilities to own property than single people. Couples, as a rule, are subjected to less social isolation than single people. This, however, does not apply to divorces, being a strong social glue that often somehow enriches the community.
Does marriage correlate with suicide?
The study of suicide among young adults is often carried out in isolation from the surrounding society. The analysis of self-murder is the following: the strength of the family is determined by the level of suicide. Family and marriage are factors that contribute to the formation of the personality.
During the childhood, parents and the older generation as a whole establish genetically non-transferable conditioned reflexes connected with the experience of ancestors, individual psyche and its dynamics. Here, based on these instincts, the subjective sense of the need to die is formed. In adulthood, the mechanisms of self-murder are already formed. The ageing process is accelerated. The victim anticips the onset of a period of new life, and the desire for death is strong. At this age, the need for suicide is very high. However, the dynamics of suicide is more complicated. It is especially difficult to reveal the causes of suicide in youth.
It is known that the younger the victim, the more sensitive his life is. Therefore, parents should behave as adults and pay due attention to the upbringing of a young person.
The causes of suicide among young people are diverse. It is established that adolescents become suicidal in response to the incentive of an unfavorable combination of circumstances.
Taking into account the interests of speed of death, de Tocqueville explained the relationship between youth and adult suicide: youth is the stage of adaptation. The personality develops there. The socialization of the individual is completed. At this age, he begins to be independent and very intelligent. However, in a youth suicide does not belong to the group of lowest ethical standards. He is not a “nobody” in the conventional sense of the word. For the reason, it is one of the most common methods of death in youth.
In youth, voluntary death is a way of preserving the life of the individual, participating in a general strike against someone. It is usually used as a symbol of resistance and a protest against injustice.
The character of youth suicide is fully justified. The belief in its favor is the result of a number of mistakes: excessive drinking of alcohol on the parties sound and strong drink being a big reason for interruption of the marriage. In youth, it is fashionable to talk about suicide in this way. The pupil is ready to die not for love but because he does not have enough strength to outright refuse the sacrifice and murder in order to avoid it.
Mass suicide of students among the adults is quite justified. The material for drinking age should be indicated in youth suicide research paper.
The combination of hard social control and youth religion is an effective measure of early prevention.
