What is already known, in the US, the ideals of freedom and justice have always been defended in the fight against royal absolutism (sometimes with subsequent retreats and concessions). Many authors of the literary world consider this fight as one of the most significant stages of the development of the American Dream. Indeed, many of them are sure that the struggle against royal absolutism led to the emergence of a new consciousness among the inhabitants of the new continent.
However, the history of this problem reaches the start of the XX century. The first recorded organization that had an idea of preserving the traditional values was the Society for the Prevention of Euthanasia, established in 1846. The first action of the group was the preparation of a petition demanding to change the Christian religion. Very soon, a group called the Evangelical Alliance was formed, whose members claimed to be descendants of those who were persecuted and imprisoned.
Initially, the church did not take an active part in the struggle for the reform of the country, although it undoubtedly contributed to the spread of the so-called New Order, preached by Thomas Paine and others. The most renowned leader of the Reformation was the outstanding philosopher Voltaire (pseudonym, real name – Francois Marie Aru). Views on politics, state and law which neighbor with arguments on other topics are still presented in the public consciousness of the modern world.
Voltaire, as a representative of the school of natural law, recognized the existence of inalienable natural rights of each individual, regardless of his belonging to a particular social class. The freedom, property, and equality of people are universal, and must be defended on the basis of the law.
Modern legal concepts give rise to a new sense of self-respect. The phrase “Friends are equal before the law” means “equal before the law”, which uses the idea of the equal distribution of social status, the abolition of feudal privileges and the establishment of equal legal capacity, the right to equal treatment in the social name, etc.
Such statements do not mean equal distribution of wealth and are often directed against the United States. The actual state of inequality in the United States is much better than in England and other countries of the world. But the pattern of income inequality is quite noticeable, and the reasons for it are the disparity of the income of the two groups.
The imbalance of income results in the preference of the wealthy over the poor. By the end of the colonial period, the upper and middle classes were able to enjoy their prosperity, and the property gap between them was less than in England.
In England, the picture of the society occupying the middle class was much deeper than in America. If all the citizens over the age of 15 were equally wealthy, then the gap between the two classes would be less significant than in America. But, in fact, the gap between the classes was quite significant, and wealth could and should be evenly distributed.
A number of independent variables showed that the social gap between rich and poor countries of the world is more pronounced than between the rich and the poor. In Europe, the ideals of the middle class were aligned with the interests of the vast majority of the population (the upper and middle classes, respectively) but not with the interests of the vast majority of the population.
Mention in income inequality argumentative essay that the ideal model of the economy arises in the following pattern: the labor receipts are the value of the goods produced over a certain period of time measured in monetary equivalent. The quantity of these goods is determined by the productivity of industrial and agricultural production, the size of the population is taken into account.
The following pattern can be traced in an income inequality research: the labor receipts dominate in the structure of the incomes of the middle class. Work activity determines the social status of representatives of this stratum. Unlike the elite groups, the share of income from property is lower, and, unlike poor groups, the share of social benefits is lower.
The influence of social belonging is manifested, in particular, in the different attitude of representatives of social groups to certain types of activity, the conditions and content of labor. Participating in the social division of labor, representatives of the middle class use their professional and qualification potential based on a high level of education.
The structure of household expenditures also can play the important role as a criterion for the identification of various social groups, since there are laws linking income and consumption in the modern society. The structure of household spending is most sensitive to changes in the ratio of income to prices for specific goods.
It’s worth stating in wealth inequality essay that, in the broad sense, the middle class refers to 60% of the population. This group has the incomes above the poverty line but not belongs to the richest strata.
