Hey, I’m doing 1000 word essay on the constellation of Cassiopeia and I need more information. 1000 words doesn’t sound like much but..man o’ man its tough, cuz i don’t have much to say and i already have 540 words written.. Help, please! ASAP <3 thanks so much!! ANSWER Cassiopeia: A constellation in the northern sky north of the equator. It has 5 very bright stars very easily seen even during moderate light polluted areas. The two brightest stars are called Navi, and Caph. The constellation was named after the Queen of Ethiopia who was the wife of Cepheus and the mother of Andromeda. She was seen more as a villan than a good person as she once despised the idea of her daughter marrying a young man named Perseus that she chained Andromeda to a rock and intended to feed her to a sea monster named Cetus. (All the names I mentioned are constellations not too far away from Cassiopeia as well.) In 1667 a supernova appeared in this constellation and was recorded by scientists around the world. This supernova is believed to be the last one to happen in our galaxy. Something also neat about Cassiopeia: If we could travel very fast in a space ship away from the Earth and our solar system and looked back, eventually the sun would become one of the stars in Cassiopeia. I know you have heard about Orion's arm. That has nothing to do with Orion the constellation that has to do with the Orion arm of the milky way galaxy. Hope this helps just don't copy what I said though research it.
