What is the definition of poverty. Economists understand it as the social and economic state of a nation that lacks the ability to invest in its future, does not contribute to the social and technological development, is not able to sustain its basic needs. This term is used in two senses: as a system of fundamental lack of resources and as an example of inability to meet them. The second sense is the existence of such everyday examples that inspirers of capitalism. They reflect the actual state of things and are created by the ability of a person to attract attention, as well as to receive the maximum satisfaction from the material wealth that is available.
A number of theoretical approaches to define poverty are narrow:
Foucault introduced a number of criteria for determining the social status of the middle class: prestige, social importance, economic situation, political status, and so on. The actual dimension of the middle class is its ability to hold high positions in the upper class. The prestige of the middle class is determined by a combination of economic and cultural factors: universal, high social prestige, high social sensitivity. The middle class is a “national” institution whose members are all from the middle class.
Mention in your income inequality essay that, in the 1960s, the middle class made a real revolution in the attitude of society and began to represent a whole new image of its identity. Along with other social movements of the elite, the middle class revealed its own contradictions: the middle class was active in protest against the high cost of public services, but, on the other hand, it was silent and did not provide any help to ordinary citizens.
Nowadays, there is a static struggle between the middle class and the wealthy, which is also called “classification”. In the foreground, social differences are manifested, which are explained by the ability of the middle class to pay for its own needs.
The ability of the middle class to pay for its own needs is a proof of the legitimacy of the phrase “middle class is the best” in the consciousness of the contemporary social movement. In reality, this concept is not entirely true. If all other forms of the social structure of society are equal, there will be no other structure of society for the middle class.
But the above distinctions are only partially true. All other social characteristics of the average family are slightly different.
The analysis of interpersonal characteristics (including, but not most important) is based on the activity of a group of individuals. From a legal viewpoint, the term “family” is used to refer exclusively to the relationship “between” people; however, it also includes other social structures: social work, professional activity, family responsibility, etc.
The peculiarity of the family is the unique opportunity which each of the members has in the organization of everyday life. To the extent that the standards of living enable to achieve the maximal good in the organization of everyday life, then the problems of maintaining the middle class in developed countries are solved.
