When did water world change its name?
The park has a bit of a confusing history. It opened in 1995 as Waterworld USA Concord. The company that owned it bought Six Flags and eventually changed the name of the park to Six Flags Waterworld Concord.
How much is parking at Concord water park?
Parking opens 90 minutes in advance of the water park’s opening. The parking lot is very close to the entrance of Waterworld California, which we appreciated. While you can buy an all-season parking pass online for $50, you cannot buy an individual parking ticket online, in advance. Daily parking is $15.
Can you bring food to Hurricane Harbor Concord?
Food, Drinks and Coolers:Food, beverages, coolers and grills may not be brought into the park. The only food exceptions are for food allergies as described below and infant food, in non-glass jars. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor prohibits the use of grills and open flames in and around the property, including parking lots.

In 1998 Six Flags began rebranding numerous properties, however, the Waterworld parks were not renamed until 2003, when they became Six Flags Waterworld. At the end of the 2006 season, Six Flags divested itself of multiple properties including the two Waterworld parks.

It’s so easy for you to change and shower before or after your visit to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor since shower facilities are located in both bath houses. You should definitely remember to apply sunscreen before your visit. It gets hot! But, don’t worry if you forget, sunscreen is available in several park shops.
