What questions are going to be asked at a Hospital Volunteer Interview? Please help! This is my first time.?
I’m 13 and in 8th grade turning 14 this May and in a couple days i have an interview at the hospital for a junior volunteer opportunity. I’m kind of nervous because this is my first time and I guess i’m shy in public. But i’m learning not to be. They had us write an essay to go along with our application and i don’t know if my essay is good enough for them to choose me because there are many great speakers and more convincing people out there and the program only has room for a certain amount of people. I hope i dont get nervous and mess up on the interview. I don’t sound so confident here. =( I want to become an ophthalmologist when I grow up and so Im hoping this’ll be a good opportunity for me when I do reach my goal. I want to put my best effort into what I do and want to help around with patients and peers. I hope that’ll make me open up more. I hope you can help me. Please and thank you ! =)
You have such a positive attitude that I can’t see anyone turning you down! Just remember to be yourself in the interview. Answer each question honestly. If you feel yourself getting nervous in the interview, take a deep breath before you continue answering their questions. If you don’t understand the question, ask them to repeat or rephrase the question. Just be yourself. You seem very intelligent to me and I think you will do well.
Remember, the person asking the questions was your age at one time and certainly knows how it feels!
And, it you mess up an answer, just say this is your first interview and you are a little nervous. No big deal. You will be fine.
