Following the opening of two hotels there in 2018, the Riu Palace Costa Mujeres and the Riu Palace Baja California, our plan for 2019 is to focus on renovation projects for the Riu Vallarta and the Riu Palace Riviera Maya, which both originally opened in 2006.

Jamaica Over the last nine years we have carried out between five and seven comprehensive renovations every year, and it could be said that the refurbishments have become one of the keys to RIU Hotels investment strategy. What was the Riu Palace Maspalomas refurbishment in 2021?

We presented it in December and I think it turned out really well. I’m very pleased with the results because it wasn’t an easy project.
When will the Riu palace open in Cape Verde?
Hotel Riu Palace Santa Maria in Cape Verde, on Ponta Beach, open since March 2021. The Riu Palace Maspalomas was fully refurbished this summer. We presented the renovation in the first week of July and it was a very proud moment for us as this hotel deserves the best, and I think that we gave it just that with this project.
