Other than what is below there are no problems with the 392. Sounds like it may have blown a head gasket of been over heated. The 392 came from the factory with a composite head gasket. Its also and old engine went out of factory production about 1982 Until the 392 came along the tandem loadstars all had 345s. Dad had one in the 60s with a 345.
